Jamie Donovan is a no-hope teenager who can’t cope with personal relationships. She can’t manage school either. With a friend she plays truant and breaks into an abandoned sanitarium. Along the way she finds that she prefers girls to boys, and meets and falls in love with the beautiful Lisa, for whose life she must finally fight.
Pinball is poignant and witty, with a wry view on the world. It is the first part of the Wicked Silver trilogy. In the next volume, The Carrier, Jamie encounters the CIA, which is not on her side.
